Volkswagen of America teamed up with L.A.–based artist Michelle Guerrero (Mr B Baby) to bring her transformative, unique style to the 2025 all-electric ID. Buzz. Influenced by her Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage, her creative technique blends Mexican folk art, nostalgia, and personal stories inspired by her upbringing in Chula Vista, CA with her Puerto Rican mother.
Guerrero’s design is synonymous with the character of ID. Buzz – optimistic, hopeful, and inviting creativity and imagination. She includes several friendly faces such as Chucho, the blooming piñata symbolizing transformation, Chaco, the blue horse representing courage, and Maria, the traditional Mexican rag doll honoring the craftsmanship and the women who make them. Surrounded by bursts of light, vibrant florals, and papel picado, her characters create a dynamic landscape of resiliency, community, heritage, and joy that celebrates the Hispanic community. As the canvas to her brush, ID. Buzz becomes a moving tribute to creativity, connection, and the journey forward.
